A Question For Amateur & Professional Divers

Hello Crunchers! Hope your day is going well so far.

As I posted my Citizen Eco-Drive Titanium Diver on the WRUW section I got to thinking about some things and I am not sure if all of what I'm about to post has been discussed here before but hear me out:

Pretty much all of us here have some sort of diver watch that we go swimming with, snorkeling, surfing etc. But what about SERIOUS diving? I'm talking about scuba diving and going to a nice deep dive to a shipwreck or something like that?

For all of my my amateur and professional scuba divers out there, what diver watch do you wear while going to the depths as humanly possible with a scuba tank? Do you also wear a diving computer as well and wear the diver watch as a back-up? Has a diver watch ever failed while on a dive? If so what happened to it and what brand was it? What brand(s) are most prone to fail/survive a deep dive that a professional diver can go?

Yes, I live in Florida but I am not scuba certified. Long story. I just wanted to know what watches are really "sea-worthy." What watch do you take on your deep dives and what diving computer do you take along as well?

I hope this post made sense.

Looking forward to the comments.

Citizen Promaster mostly, followed by Vostok then the Duro. It's odd but the Vostok bezel works way better at depth than on surface, and same with my Duro, but not to the same degree. The Citizen is about the same, and all my other ones were worse.

This one's been tested to 150m by the owner of the company. I would trust it

I asked the same question about a week ago on my last post. Maybe it will give you a little insight to the answers your looking for?

Thank you so much for directing me to this. So, from the looks of things it seems that most divers don't wear a regular watch for backup and only depend on their dive computers. I am glad to see some of the watches that Crunchers have posted above that they wear while in the water. Nice watches everyone!😉
