I was looking for an inexpensive field watch and was wanting to add a microbrand to my small collection.
I discovered Redwood through online searches. A Canadian company that got good, though limited, reviews. I debated between a few of their watches before landing on the Kilroy.

REALLY happy with it! The leather nato is buttery soft and I got an olive green nato for it as well. It came in a cool canvas watch travel wrap that holds multiple watches.
We are going to Italy this spring and I wanted something with a clean design that pleased ME, but wouldn't attract any unwanted attention or feel heavy on my wrist. This should work equally well for a day touring the Coliseum or a night on the town.
My grandparents were Canadian immigrants so Canada is near and dear to my heart so that definitely played a part.
In my opinion, the 40mm size wears "smaller" on my wrist compared to my 39.5mm Seiko 5 Pepsi Diver. It's a little taller than I thought it would be but ultimately feels "just right" on my 7.5" wrist for its intended purpose.
It's my first solar ☀️movement, and my first microbrand, and it seems like a darn good value at just under $200. USD delivered.
