Yes, it's a indigenous watch maker brand founded in 1942 in the city of Hyderabad, India. As per your assumption I can confirm that this specific watch used the Seiko 17 Jewels movement.

Sadly this indigenous Indian watch maker brand doesn't operates anymore, it was already closed in 1999 at the time of the financial reciation in India.

As per the available information which I incorporate with that this watch was first purchased from the merchant outlet in the year of 1991. So you can say this specific watch was almost 31 years old as per my knowledge.
