Hey all! Since “diving” into the milsub rabbit hole, I’ve become obsessed with the nylon straps seen here, but have yet to find one. Anyone know where I can get one? Also, what were the snaps used for? Thanks! (Photo from internet search)
My guess would be to cover the watch head for anti glare lo-vis night ops.
Also older watches could use all the protection you could give them via covers, etc. Even low end Chinese stuff is made better than stuff from mid-century. Technology is just that much exponentially better.
Roped into the watch world by one of my best friends in college. One of many hobbies, and equally wallet unfriendly to the rest. I’m hoping to pass the bug on to my Son as well.

There are plenty of pics of Seals and MAC-V SOG rocking similar straps.
Should be relatively easy to make your own with DIY snap buttons or Chicago screws/pull the dot holster screws from Amazon.
Go to your nearest hobby lobby or JoAnns.
I've seen these back in the 70's. Some are sewn on one side and Velcro on the other.
I would like to find one and maybe copy it…who knows…maybe there’s other folks looking for them?
Interesting watch 😌
