Orange hand inner track acts as a GMT 24 hr additional scale, set it via crown at 4 o'clock
The crown at 2 o'clock adjusts the the 12 hr countdown and 12 hr count-up for time till mission start/zero hour or time since mission start/zero hour. (Chapter ring H-12) Tracked via the outermost orange hand.
Countdown bezel for short term tasks.
By adjusting the 2 o'clock crown for the mission timer, you don't have to screw with the GMT setting.
It's busy, but in use is terribly useful and a trademarked complication according to EB's information.
And you can change the mission timer under water etc. It's not dependent on being unscrewed.

They are worth it. Bang for Buck the Holton Pro might be the most affordable, legitimately SF issued watch on the market.
And they have tested the Holton Pro and the women's Bloxworth Hali extremely well. Dropped them to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, blown them up, dropped them off high rises etc. And they tested off the shelf models, no special ones.
