What am I looking at? I love it!
I should start with…I only have a Casio and a Timex at the moment. I don’t think I’ll ever have a “collection.”
But, I have been wanting to get into a low-end Seiko and have been infatuated with the SRPH55 for some time now. It’s the brown turtle model. Unfortunately it’s out of my price range. Thought about starting with a standard SRPD55 because it’s a little cheaper but can’t take my mind off of the brown turtle.
My issue is that I’ve never liked the shape of the turtle Seikos I just like that particular bezel. Without getting into it, turtles (the animal) have some sentimental meaning between my son and I. He has always been infatuated with them from early on and this could be a cool watch to hand down to him. Something with meaning.
Then I stumbled on this conglomeration on Google images….and me not being that well versed in Seikos, I figured out its an SRPJ47 with the SRPH55 bezel. The brown and brown go so well together.
I’m. In. Love.
Just don’t know if I can pull the trigger on taking apart a perfectly good watch that is already a stretch on my budget to begin with lol.
Anyway…long post for one of my first on here. I love this group and enjoy reading about all of your watches. They are amazing! I can live vicariously through all of you!
