B&M ETA7753 repair questions

Unlike in the picture, my Capeland's chronograph jump minutes subdial (@3) no longer resets when I use the chronograph. It's long out of warranty. Otherwise, it's running well at +7 sec/d (4 positions). I called my local watch repair shop but they don't do B&M, said they can't get the parts. That surprised me knowing that this is probably the most ubiquitous mechanical chronograph movement in the world. Yesterday I called the local jeweler that used to carry B&M, but they don't fix them anymore and said they'd try to find a local watchmaker who can fix it and call me back. I'm not counting on that. What I'm trying to get is an estimate of what the minimum cost would be to open it up and fix it assuming it's not a major repair. I'd expect they'd replace the gaskets too and maybe regulate it if there's no extra charge. I know it's going to take about 4 mo. at least.

Does anyone have experience getting one repaired? What was done, how long did it take and how much did it cost? Is there anything else I need to know?

Repair options are very limited and will cost north of 400 bucks. Replacement movement is over 1000 bucks. Chinese clones are 150 bucks

I took it to a local jeweler, skeptical that they would have a qualified watch maker. To my surprise, the owner was there and was a watch guy. Had on a YM. He said their watchmaker was well-qualified and would give me an estimate for free. He also said that since the watch is keeping time with no other issues, it was probably something out of alignment (which what I suspect) and would be a minor repair. I asked for an estimate on servicing, and he talked me out of it, essentially saying if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I was impressed, at the very least, he's honest. I left the watch and he'll call me next week.
