Seaholm OffShore

Todd Adams founded Seaholm in 2013. He is a former executive of YETI, famous for creating modern and resistant coolers for outdoor enthusiasts.

His mission is to offer watches designed for any adventure that you may want to undertake.

The OffShore, the brand’s diver, measures 41 mm in diameter, with a “lug-to-lug “length of 50.5 mm, a height of 14 mm and a lug width of 21 mm.

The case is finely brushed, as is the bracelet, which is made from solid links throughout and has a diving extension.

The crystal is a double domed sapphire. The diving bezel is made from a brushed piece of stainless steel.

Inside the watch beats a Sellita SW200-1 movement at 28,800 bph (4 Hz), offering 38 hours of power reserve.

Its water resistance is 200m, having met the requirements of the ISO 6425 standard, making it a true “diver’s watch” to use on any underwater adventure with confidence. In addition, its soft iron cage protects it against magnetism up to 33,500 a/M (ISO 746 requires 4,800 a/M). Lastly, to withstand a three-meter drop (three times the ISO 1413 standard), the caliber sits on proprietary shock-absorbing mounts.

In short, the OffShore is a solid watch with great specs. In this case, it is a "tool" watch built as such and that will fulfil the mission in all situations.

I only see two drawbacks...

Firstly, the size of the logo and text on the dial seems excessive. The watch has a lot to brag about, but I think they just take up too much real estate.

Second, while the specs and build quality of this watch are impressive, its price of $1,995 (€1,890 plus VAT and import fees for orders from the EU) seems audacious given the brand's short track record. Yet this, as always, will depend on the circumstances and opinion of each one of you.
