An Islander field homage on a NATO from cnswatchbands. Sadly the date is misaligned so I wouldn't recommend this watch. Sent Marc an email about it and he denied it, even with proof.
This'll probably be my last watch from Long Island Watches, especially when considering there's other microbrands like Proxima and Traska that have better value for money.
Will be replacing the dial in the future so I won't have to look at the misaligned date. Lume on hands is great and the case is waterproof and good quality so if you want a good field watch base for modding then I'd recommend it.
Also the NATO strap from cnswatchbands is great. Can't recommend them enough. This one is the premium khaki NATO.

Are you are talking about the date being misaligned laterally within the window, or something else? Even on the stock pictures from LIW's website, the date seems to favor the left side of the window. 😬

It's a shame he won't recognize the issue. The newer versions have the date in a different place, so maybe that was his way to resolve it? He should at least offer for you to exchange it for a different watch, possibly? It's obviously an issue, although I don't know if it would bother me too much. I still prefer that date position over the day-T versions.
