Lazy names..(just for fun post)

Why cant watch makers be more creative with naming their products? Seamaster, Marinemaster, blahblahMaster. Maybe we call the ladies version of XYZMaster "Margarita", if you catch my literary drift? What next? Schoolmaster (would need high accuracy, no doubt)? Ringmaster chrono to time the duration before the lion gets really, really pissed? A venomous African Bushmaster? And anything with some mention of rally, fly, sail, sea, ocean, explore, discover,....either as a prefix, suffix, or a derivative. C'mon, we can do better than this!

PS: Micros seem to be doing better, e.g., Phoibos and Zelos even within the overcrowded dive category.

I guess I would much rather have a watch named “Promaster” than the Orient watch from your last WRUW named RA-AK0007S10B. 🤣

Just giving you a hard time friend 😁😉

I would say that Orient, GS and the like that often just use reference numbers are far worse. Or some of these Chinese named watches like Skmei

Touche, my friend, touche! Though it rather proves the point doesn't it ? :)

I have another idea since I wrote the post. How about DungeonMaster with options of a) spiked metal bracelet b) twisted rope strap c) lace and leather strap. The mind boggles!

:D

It’s a relatively untapped naming resource. I really like TuxedoMaster for those that want a more masculine gold dress watch 😉

Well the "Seamaster" was the first , companies homage designs so I guess that goes for the "master" suffix too.

Personally I agree with @Draeger22 , I find names, no matter how daft, far easier to remember than a long reference number. (And I grew up in the 70's/80's as a biker with lots of Japanese bikes 😂)

When I finally assemble a watch on my own from sourced parts, I will consider something outlandish, plus "master" on the dial. Just have to make it fit.

Oh the text is going to have to be super small. Can you imagine AliExpress trying to get that personalized dial correct?
