New pick up for me! 1 of 500 Vacheron Constantin Phidias.
It's quite small at 35mm, but it has presence due to the gold bracelet, so feels slightly bigger.
I have just sold a panerai to fund this, can you imagine two more different watches?!

I suspect the VC is the more ocean-going of the two. I have heard that Panerais take a big hit on the secondary market, but that was a few years ago when Panerai itself could not distinguish their own from fakes. Is that better now, or did you take a big hit?

Luckily not, the VC was materially more expensive than the Panerai, but I bought it second hand. I would never buy a Panerai brand new
