Lucky catch, I've had a watch hit the ground after losing a springbar a couple of times. My answer to that was to start wearing a Gshock at work. Even with the NATO, springbars are nonsense. I really wonder how it is that nobody's come up with anything better.
Except that it doesn't.
I recently had the same thing happen. I got pulled in to a pickup basketball game with kids. One kid yanked my watch hand and the spring bar popped off. Luckily I found it. I was able to pop it back in myself and has been durable ever since.
Good save!
And that's why the military uses natos (redundancies).
Cheers 2023!
