I've actually come around to re-appreciate a quality quartz movement after having to service a Speedmaster and a vintage Elgin this passed summer. I still love my mechanical beauties, but most of my recent purchases have been quartz and I'm loving them.
All watch enthusiasts have their niche they love or are overly partial to. However, I'd say the majority just love watches that are well made, and the movement type is more detail than anything else
