Looks good. There is no reason to not use rubber, it makes more sense for a field watch than leather.

Logically it makes sense if you need/want something rugged that can clean up easy. Somehow to my eyes though canvas 2 piece or nylon nato matches best.
I never thought of that until Baltic put their new line of field watches on rubber straps.

Yes, 2 piece kanvas is my favourite for field watches.
