Got my first mechanical watch ever. Was a bit worried when changing the day and date cuz the crown was a bit tight to spin so I thought it's something wrong, but it seems okay! Seiko snx997 for 165$

Very nice! You could literally wear that anywhere and it would fit in. Just make sure to change the time to 6oclock before changing the day and date. It can put stress on the gears if you change it close to midnight where it switches automatically.

Thanks for the advice, yeah it was a bit scary at first to adjust the day and date but I ckecked some videos which said not to change the day and date between 9pm and 4am. Although is it okay to spin the hands counter clockwise?
