Came across this and thought I should share.
It's by Bartosz Ciechanowski and he does a great job at explaining how a mechanical watch functions - with illustrations to boot!

Wow! This site is quite interesting the way it illustrates the movement and it’s components. I was playing with the 3-D pivoting and explosion just like a CAD software. Cool! 💪
