No Time to Spare
My shipment status went from not-picked-up-yet-in-Hong-Kong to delivering-today-in-Minneapolis overnight, putting me in an enthusiast's shipping nightmare scenario: hours from leaving town for a holiday, with a nice watch about to sit unsecured for days.
A few minutes before we had to leave, and as I was headed outside to desperately cold-ask some neighbor to babysit my eventual package, I saw the truck stop on my block. The driver and I exchanged pleasant holiday greetings, and soon I'd managed to snag my watch from the edge of the void!
With any luck I'll forget, and walk into the house to find a "surprise" unopened new watch.

This happened to me before. We left town and when I got there it said it had been delivered to my mailbox. 3 days later thankfully it was still there. 😌
