Sir, there are many many micro brand in the world , some of them making watch in heart , some only in business. So welcome to post what you know of this ๐๐๐ฅ๐
CyS was founded in Havana by Spanish immigrants. It wasn't a Cuban watchmaker as such; it was more interesting than that. CyS was a Cuban retailer that decided to manufacturer its own watches in Switzerland to cater to the demand of the rich and famous who visited the island before the revolution. Two of the great early 20th century retailers of the Americas - Serpico y Laino of Venezuela and Gondolo e Labouriau of Brazil - never went quite so far.
I owned a CyS and had a chat with its CEO Massimo Rossi a few years ago. He shared a 45-minute documentary on the history of the company with me. It was good, and included interviews with former employees (now quite elderly) as well as historians and watch collectors. Cubans of a certain generation are proud of the company.
Here's its HQ in Switzerland. Pretty.
Sir , thanks for your share information, how about your Cys watch ?
Whoa, love the aesthetics of that!
I have always wanted one of their watches, I love the design of the Esplรฉndidos and the Prominente but the straps are to short to fit. ๐ข
