Dirty Crystal - How to Clean

Bought this Traska used on Reddit. Seller was great. I didn't notice until weeks later the watch crystal has some stains. It's very hard to tell but under the right light and angle it's clear. I tried wiping with micro fiber and rubbing alcohol but doesn't come off. It may even be on the inside.

1) How do I tell if it's really external or internal?

2) Is there a proper cleaner or mild abrasive cleaner to try if on the outside?

3) If on the inside, is it an easy enough thing to do or don't even try and bring it somewhere?

Wow, never seen anything like that. Maybe try some polywatch (it's mildly abrasive)? Don't reckon that would hurt a sapphire crystal. Tape the bezel up though.

Hope it's stubborn grime but the first picture also looks like the AR coating could be releasing. Do try the suggested approaches first and if it's still there I would try Traska themselves. Because if it is the AR that's due to a factory defect (small contamination during AR application)

There are also ways to get rid of the AR coating altogether but that's more of a last option

Thanks! I had heard of that but never used it before but realized I had something similar, glass stovetop cleaner! A q-tip and a bit of that later and all is good and clean. Thanks!!

Thanks for the input! Didn't have polywatch but had glass stovetop cleaner (basically a glass polish) and worked!

Reach out to Traska! Jon the owner is a really helpful guy and may be able to give you some advice.

Try polywatch on the outside. If there isn't any change you have to try it on the inside (remove the crystal from the case...) The last resort: change the crystal... With a little research you should be able to source a comparable one.
