The Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer doesn't draw its design from traditional WWII fliegers. Instead, the design comes from pocket watches issued to American bomber crews in the 1940's. This 38mm 3 hand "no date" version is powered by the Hamilton H10 movement, highly accurate (-3s to -5s a day ) with an 80 hour power reserve. The example in the photo is fitted with a new thick brown leather strap with the traditional rivets of a pilot watch. Definitely added a new feel to a long time favorite.

I need to try one of these on, they look robust for 38mm and I like it!
It's the smallest diameter watch in my collection. And to be frank the best size for my skinny wrist (6.75 in). Some of my larger watches look like I'm wearing a dinner plate on my wrist. This one looks and feels like a perfect fit.
