A mid 2000s blast from the past for me. This 2009 era Tag brought back so many pre watch love memories I couldn’t resist it. When I was in high school in the late 90s my buddy from New York had a fake Tag Aquaracer. Thing was so cool, yellow seconds, Red and Green Tag logo, rotating bezel…I didn’t know a thing about watches…but I knew I loved it. He ended up gifting me the watch when he moved away…never to see him again. A time before cell phones and major internet. I ended up wrecking th watch by accident when in Germany in a castle rock wall.
Now, 25 years later I have discovered my love of watches. A love I had for a very long time..I always had a watch…just didn’t know wha tit was all about. Then I found mechanical movements, fell in love with the art and engineering. The rich history and couldn’t resist the urge to learn more.
A few weeks ago, while drunk and a little out of it I was on Reddit Watch Exchange and saw it. The yellow seconds. The Red and Green logo. The timeless bezel and design. A real Tag Aquaracer that just brought it all back. YOLO!
I do love it, has micro adjustments, no time to find a great fit in my 7.25” wrist. The lume is incredible and the bezel action is pretty darn great. I love how thin it is with the quartz movmwt and at 38/39 mm it’s a great everyday size.
The latch could be better, stamped…boo. But honestly that is it for me. I love it.
This said 1500 characters long…minimum… that is a lot. I am no pro writer but dang. I hope they change that…please :)
Cheers - Jacob

I like it! Definitely a new retro look to it. Caught my eye enough that I stopped to find out what it was.
