A trip down memory lane: my first watch

My father bought this watch for himself while studying in NY 30-something years ago. When I turned 14, this became my first watch. The scratches and scuffs remind me of the years it spent on my wrist.

Nowadays, it barely gets any wrist time, but it's the only watch I have an emotional attachment to. This is my "if your watch box were on fire, which watch would you save" watch.

What was your first watch? Do you still have it with you?

Very cool watch! Mine was an F91w, being a kind from the late 90's/ early 2000's the I had is long dead and gone. 😂

My dad had this same watch! It was gifted to him by the company he worked for in the 90s. He never wore it, though. At 34.5mm, it looked ridiculous on his giant gorilla wrist. He gave it to me a few years back.

It's so cool to see another one! You know, the funny thing is that my dad has very thick bones too, and this watch looked tiny on him. I never understood why he likes small watches so much (Cartier Tank, Omega Constellation, Rolex Explorer 36, etc.). To each their own, I guess! Thanks for sharing 😉

I have that one too, my wife brought it to me after she bought in london in the 90's. But in steel.
