Tissot PR516 Mechanical Chronograph

Hi everyone, relatively new to watches and have been browsing around and came across this. I think it looks pretty sweet and the quartz version comes in a blue dial variant as well.

What are your thoughts?

It's a sharp looking chronograph. The orange hands and little touch of teal are very nice.

Tissots have a great reputation and tachymeter is a cool complication along side the chronograph. I am sure it will be a hit as soon as it becomes available with local ADs.

This is the reissue I did not realise I had been subconsciously waiting for.

As the owner of a comparatively modern PRS516 (vertical 6-9-12 subdial arrangement courtesy of the Valjoux 7750 movement), this makes so much more sense versus the rather bizarre “adjacent option / cash grab” of the PRX chronograph.

Indeed, I anticipate this to be a huge hit with watch nerds and parts of the general population.

I must, however, say that the choice to simply pop off the rotor is a little bizarre, especially when one can look into the movement. Kind of like seeing a dude sporting the “Beijing bikini” look.
