A slightly belated check up of the perpetual calendar function on my two Jaeger leCoultre pieces, the Master Grand Revail and the Master Uktra Slim. Having two of these beauties is a blessing. Having to reset the moon phase is a labor of love. Wear them well.
If I had a perpetual calender, would definitely have e a watch winder to keep it current. I am looking at the Longines perpetual
I just checked out the JLC Master Ultra Thin yesterday at a JLC boutique, it looks amazing. Tremendous value for the price.

Actually, I do have both of them on a watch winder, almost 90% of the year. The problem is that perpetual mechanisms do sometimes fail. My Grand Reveil, after a house cleaner knocked down a winder with the watch in it, had to be repaired in Switzerland. It cost me about $USD 2,500 including the air freight from Japan and back. Hopefully it will not fail anymore.
I just saw your images. Beautiful! Two horological masterpieces!
