How should I set a Perpetual Calender without a leap year Indicator?

Hello WatchFam,

Question as title. How can i find and set the correct date on a perpetual calendar watch when there is not leap year indicator?

Thank you in advance!

I thought that made it an annual calendar? You will have to set it once a year, on March 1st, as it does not account for leap year.

What watch do you need to set?

Hi Jeremy,

Actually, an annual calendar just goes through the dates without consideration of months having 30 or 31 days.

A perpetual calendar DOES adjust months of 30 ro 31 days automatically. And in addition they often adjust the leap year automatically as well.

But not all perpetual calendars have the leap year functionality; this is what the poster is referring to.

You are kind of stuck to cycle through all the months to find out where the leap year change takes place on your dial.

That being said - there is always a chance that the caliber you have does not calculate the leap year at all....Most such perpetual calibers do, but there are some that do not.
