I've got the 147 (brown dial,gilt indices) & two Willards- the diashield coating is fantastic, my black Willard is my beater for over a year and is still pretty much immaculate.
Oh man, 143 and 147 were the 2 that I had the longest time debating on which to get, but I wanted the bracelet. I know i can get one from uncle seiko and they are probably better, but the OEM in me. 😀

I usually think people are overly critical of bracelets, and that most bracelets on modern watches are markedly better than even the best bracelets of just a couple decades ago. But I must admit, after owning my SPB143 for about 6 months, I broke down and bought the Uncle Seiko bracelet.
The Seiko bracelet wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, either. If you're going to wear it regularly, you'll probably have better luck with the Uncle Seiko.
To this day, it's the only watch I've ever bought an after-market bracelet for.

Agree 100% I love mine, Seiko got a lot right with this watch, size, case shape, hand set and of course that sunburst dial 😍
