I've come to see this watch as my palate cleanser in this hobby of ours. It reminds me what's important and what isn't.
I still have the utmost respect for industrial design and consider the best of it to be high art, but an individual artist is capable of creating things that could never emerge from focus groups, brand managers, and automated factories and that should be celebrated and supported more often than the latest example of mass-produced "they gave us what we've been asking for" (or didn't) commodity watches.
