Thoughts on MWC Dirty Dozen ?

MWC 1940s/1950s "Dirty Dozen" Pattern General Service Watch with Retro Lume and 21 Jewel Automatic Movement

SKU Code: DD/01/AU/2 This automatic self-winding classic 1940s/1950s pattern MWC military watch with a small subsidiary dial second hand is based on the typical designs used by the British forces from the 1940s through to the 1950s, it retains the acrylic crystal as used on the original watches although the original hand-winding mechanical movement is upgraded to a self-winding automatic which can also be manually wound if required. The watch offers the benefit of retaining the original outward appearance whilst having the advantage of a few discreet updates to improve its suitability for use on a day-to-day basis. This watch has a heavy stainless steel satin finish case made from Military Grade 316L stainless steel, subsidiary dial second hand, hacking function, black dial, and luminous markings. The watch also has a historically accurate canvas strap as used in the 1940s and 50s.  The final image shows the original 12 watches which were made by 12 companies, Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger Le-Coultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor, and Vertex, MWC were not a manufacturer at this time having been founded in 1974 but this watch is very much in the spirit of the originals* Specification:

I've always loved the simplicity of military watches. I really love my Khaki field, but I'd like to own a A-11 and/or a Dirty Dozen, more of a WW2 era type of watch. I'm not planing to buy an old Elgin or Timor, as I prefer new watches, so I've been looking for a while for a A-11 with coin-edged bezel and Dirty Dozens and I've found this brand, MWC, that do have this quite nice Dirty Dozen in 36mm. For the price, it seems an interresting watch, but I haven't really heard of this brand before. Also, it says automatic, but only says 21jewels, I can't find more info on the movement.

What are your thoughts on this watch ? Yay or nay ? Anybody have experience with this brand ?

Seems okay if that's what you want.

But they've got poor image quality on their website and only one photo so it's really hard to tell.

And it's pretty thick for that size watch so it might be a bit wobbly on the wrist.

I don't feel like you're getting amazing value for that price.

Not the exact same style but do also check out these. For like 160 bucks you get titanium, sapphire, solar, radio, great LED light and digital timers/alarms.

And really nice finishing on the case. I feel like it's a very modern version of a WW2 field watch. (Ignoring the fact that soldiers today probably just use a G Shock. Lol)

Comes on titanium bracelet but I always switch it to fabric or FKM rubber. Or even an expanding steel bracelet but I need to get one the correct size for this watch.

It's 37mm not including the button guards. 44mm lug to lug. 9mm thick. 28g weight without strap which is fantastic. Really comfy especially with the back side of it being very flat rather than raised.

looks interresting, but I'm really looking into a WW2 themed watch, something more vintage specs than a modern interpretation

Okay no worries. Alba make some small field watches that are inexpensive. It's a Seiko brand and gets good reviews.

For www try modern Timor, Vertex or Baltany, depending on budget.

For modern it's gotta be CWC

MWC ain't great quality tbh
