Love this watch! Q: re bull bar

Got this GWM5610U few days ago and I love it. Finally a perfect daily watch for me. It's got everything I need. I just also installed a screen protector as I saw how beat up my other Tough Solar watch got (didn't care too much about that one, was $15 at a thrift store). But this one I wanna be able to see the screen, and not the scratches lol
Just wondering for those with 5610 series, did you install bull bars on it? Is it worth it? Does it actually protect it more or damage the casing more? Do you find it catches on your clothing? Thanks! :)

I don’t have a screen protector or bars. My watch raw dogs life. I have worn it for workouts, working in the oilfield, working on my car, regular life and it has held up amazingly. It’s a g shock. Don’t stress it just wear it and don’t worry about getting a scratch this watch is literally made for it.
I never understood the reason for fitting these to a watch that will break long after my own body will give up, I also don't think that these bars add any beauty or enhance the esthetics of the G-Shocks, but if this is something you want and like then why not?

I guess it comes from way back when I first got my smart phone and wanted to protect it in case down the road I want to sell it (not that I would sell the 5610) or just simply keep it in nice shape. After all, I will be looking at the screen daily just like my phone, so the thought of seeing scratches would bug me. That’s just me tho haha 😂

That’s what I was wondering. It’s not so much for looks as either way I would be fine with or without them, but more for protection in case you accidentally smack your hand on the corner of a wall or something like that.
