Folks, My first post on watchcrunch was looking for a 40mm no-date sub with green bezel. I finally managed to swap out the ceramic bezel on a no-date 114060 inspired NH35 beater watch. After trying to lift off the bezel with various tools (and damaging the solid end link of the bracelet) as a result, I simply placed the caseset in industrial methylated spirits for 24 hours and it loosened the CA glue perfectly. Here is the result...
Cost of build was £86.
I have realised that the bezel inserts for the vintage 14060 style cases are a slightly different size to the ones that fit the 114060 style case.
If I want to try and make a similar beater watch with a vintage case, I think I would have to use an aluminium bezel rather than a ceramic one.
