So few posts about this one in here.

I received mine yesterday. It is a limited edition, 1300 pieces but you can still find some new at a discount price.

So this piece has not received much love and this is rather surprising.

My first impressions are only positive : it is up to the GS standards all the way. The 8L35 movement is incredibly impressive, beats the performance of any other watch I own -Omega, Tudor and co- showing no variation in rate in any position or situation. Winding is smooth, setting the time and date is a Grand Seiko expérience.

The retail price point might be 4600€ but I obtained mine for 3400€ taxes included on Chrono24 after a bit of discussion. So, whilst it has no ceramic bezel and not metal bracelet, this price makes a conpelling argument for this JARE63 Seiko when compared to the Omega SMP 300, or the Oris Aquis calibre 400.

Seiko is known for their massive releases of average watches for too much money but overlooked for these high quality gems which are priced lower than they should be.

And although many people’s reaction initially was “4600€ for a Seiko ??!” They should have looked twice at the specifications: this is in fact a very high end Seiko.
