Trying out the “Zero Pass”

Took a day off today and woke up to Max’s new video on his new take on the NATO strap. It looks really interesting to me, as a Nato lover I decided to try it out.

First of all I can definitely feel the watch sitting better on my wrist, and all the watches I tried with felt “slimmer”, I would even say it feels better than some traditional straps, since there are two “circles” where the strap bends around the lugs, acting like two cushions.

But I am having a harder time putting it on compared to a traditional NATO, the strap is not attached to the watch physically, it has two degrees of freedom. It becomes a lot easier after some practice. I also saw Max’s version had additional rings on them, those are gonna help a lot. But with those rings you’d have to take off one lug to install the strap.

Overall I love the new style, and hats off to Max for his creativity. This is definitely a game changer for NATO straps. 🫡

Not for me I'm afraid. A single pass would be my choice. The advantages of the NATO but slimmer.

I also ordered one from Max, this is gonna be perfect for my Murph.

I just don't get it. Missing the whole point of the NATO...🤔

But good luck, hope they sell well 👍

Try thinning the leather out, we settled on 1.1mm for the best compromise between strength and pliability

Just saw these mentioned on another video (yeah, I'm slow). Went and checked the site.. and found up to 8". Ugh. Not for us bigger guys. I posted in the discussion on Max's YouTube video. Hopefully they come out with some longer ones. There are a LOT of above-average wrists in the watch community.
