I love this SPB397 Arita porcelain dial 110th anniversary edition watch. I could stare at the dial all day.
Watch nut (obviously), cycling nut, walking and hiking nut, science nut (B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics), hi-fi nut, music nut, car nut, computer nut (have worked in IT since 1993), video game nut (...

That’s a beauty. Is the left sub dial the power reserve?

Yes, that's right. I know many people hate power reserves on the dial, but I'm actually pretty fond of it. I like being able to look at my watch box and see the status of those watches that have it. Three of my favorite watches have it, and I wear those a lot, so if I see one getting low, I'll open up the box and wind it up.

I like the power reserve indicator too. My favorite is on this watch because it’s automotive themed and it looks like a fuel gauge.

I also just think it's a fun complication. Let's face it, mechanical watches aren't necessary in 2024. The entire thing is about fun and beauty, so have fun with your complications! I love moon phase dials, too, although I no longer own one.
