Expected accuracy for 2009 Rolex Explorer 114270

Howdy all…for all the 114270 owners out there: what accuracy are you getting? I picked up a 2009 114270 a couple weeks ago. It’s running about +5/+6 seconds/day. From what I can tell, the 3130 movement should be closer to +/-2 sec/day all things equal. Is this worth trying to regulate or should I be happy I’m at least this close? It’s my first time with the 3130. Thanks!

If you have a 15 year old watch getting +5/+6 s a day, you should be celebrating. If you know how to regulate it, you can give it a shot, but I would let it be until you send it in for servicing.

I think that's fine in the grand scheme considering age. I'd also wait it out until service is needed. The additional cost, time just doesn't seem worth it.

2009 movements run to COSC standard of -4 to +6 so it’s running within spec so no need to regulate. It was only in 2016 that Rolex improved this to +-2
