Belarusian Brand; Luch - The One-Handed Watch

I did a review on this watch a few weeks back.

Now I found this bad boy through a YT reviewer, but he had the low-tier version. They have 3 price points on their one-handed watches. This is the middle of the road model, costing only around $90 from their actual site. A very unique piece from a company with an amazing past. They utilize their in-house Луч-1801.1 manual movement in this watch. Has a 3bar WR, 37mm PVD coated case, Mineral Crystal, genuine calf skin leather strap, 10mm thick, with a 20mm lug width. My only downside is absolutely no lume on the dial.

Looks pretty cool - love the orange markings against the black dial.

FWIW, Meistersinger,  Botta and Slow are brands offering a variety of one handers, and while most use the standard 12 hour display, there are options with a 24 hour display such as this "Slow Mo" watch, which provides a different way of looking at time.

In addition to that one hander with 24 hour display, I also have another watch (not even sure of the brand)  that uses a similar 24 hour representation for the hour, but which also includes both a minute and seconds hand. This one really messes with my mind, since my first instinct is to read the hour based on it's "normal" position on the dial. In the photo, the time is really 7:30PM, but with a quick glance, my mind thinks 3:30.

Mine has the champagne dial and its a fun watch to wear.  everyone who notices it says they think it looks like an air pressure valve

I love both of those pieces. I think I would love to get another one-hand watch. But I don't know if I could afford a Meistersinger or Botta lol, but would love them! I have my sights on an Electricianz watch for my next piece. But I'm not sure..

I didn't even think of that, too funny. But you're right!

I'd highly recommend getting one. I did a review on it, if you have any questions. I love mine! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOpfgwvg2Qw&t=22s

Awesome watch! The cheapest version was my first mechanical watch. For $50 it was a great intro to the hobby. I do remember being disappointed to learn the movement was housed in an additional casing after I popped off the solid caseback. Movements (even simple and undecorated)  are fun to see in action, especially on the first pieces for new enthusiasts. Seems like splurging for this version is worth the upgrade.

Oh certainly, I love mine. And the BIG One-Hand is even nicer. I'd love to get one, but then we're talking above $300+ for the watch..

It's great to see foreigners (that is, non-Belarusians) buying these watches and appreciating them, congrats on the purchase!

The pronunciation closest to how it's pronounced in Russian and Belarusian would be 'Loo-ch', not 'Lut-ch'.

I'd certainly recommend getting the newer models of the Single-hander (aka Single-hander 3.0) like you and I have. The 3.0 has got a stainless steel case and crown unlike the original which is made of brass, a domed crystal as opposed to a flat one, much better straps that hold up, and a more intricate dial with a pattern and more tasteful numerals.
