Happy New Year WatchCrunch fam!! Hopefully, everyone had a wonderful 2023. I wanted to share my favourite watch of the year as well as new watches that I got this year as well

The favourite watch of 2023 goes to my OMEGA Seamaster Professional 300M 2561.80 on a mesh bracelet!! This was a very versatile watch for me. Good for casual and formal occasions. The mesh bracelet gives the 90s SMP a modern look to it while feeling very comfortable on the wrist

The new watches I got in 2023 were the Bulova Lunar Pilot and the Praesidus Jungle Field!! The former was a birthday present and I really like the high precision quartz chronograph movement as well as being the other Moonwatch that got overshadowed by the OMEGA Speedmaster Professional. It's a piece of history that doesn't cost a lot of money. I like to wear it on a reproduction of the Apollo 15 NASA velcro strap for that Moonwatch feel.

The Praesidus Jungle Field was a Christmas present because I wanted to start a Vietnam War watch collection in 2024!! This is an homage to the GG-W-113 watch worn by the U.S. Military during the Vietnam War. This has a personal connection to me because I have relatives who both fought in the war as well as being refugees. It's a great way to honour my family and heritage

The watch I have my eyes on in 2024 would be the the Zodiac Sea Wolf Skin Diver to complete the Vietnam War collection!! This is because of the Vietnam War legacy and being the overshadowed dive watch that came out in the same year as the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms and the Rolex Submariner. I hope to get the Zodiac before Summer 2024 so that I can use it for its intended purpose in the water.
