I changed to a FKM black rubber strap from Amazon. Comfortable. Incredibly easy to read. Sapphire crystal and I got it for under $300. Oh and I got complimented on it by a stranger a few weeks ago!

The blue date wheel seems to be the most legible. My only complaint is that the red (mine) is not.

I actually have the blue and the yellow and both have really good readability. Sorry about your experience with the red. A few months back I bought a Wise watch in red and ended up selling it because the readability wasn't great.
