Hamilton Kahki Field Mechanical

This is my Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical.  Its one of my favorite watches of all time.  it is a really reliable field watch that offers good specs for a good price and an interesting history.

The watch features a good sized case, a legible and handsome face along with a beautiful faux patina that is done well and accurately, a cool band with plenty of replacement options and a simple hand wind mechanical movement that is very accurate.  There are also a lot of other options for this watch like a white dial, bronze case and different straps.

Though this watch is not perfect, the lume is not that great, the lug to lug distance is a little to long or could've been curved and anti-reflective coating would've been nice.

History

This watch is based off of Hamilton's MIL-W-46374D watch from the 60s - 80s which was issued to United States servicemen.  This series of watches has been around since the 80s with there being quartz and mechanical versions and even ones branded with L.L Bean.
