Things i hate about watches

  1. The snowflake hand

  2. I can always fall back on almost any type of strap but its a no go for metal bracelets. Chasing metal bracelets or end links is for masochist.

  3. Big bezels. Hate them in any shape or form.

  4. Since i don't like dive watches that much, i can't wait for the market correction that will probably never come. They've become the standards watch style for many. Any watches that is somewhat not explicitly a pilot or a field watch is a dive watch inspired.

  5. Danger zone? The watch industry is accepting that as okay? Are you kidding me?

  6. Homage watches are good and a problem. At the lowest point you see the absurdity of having a well made homage for just a 100$ less than the original on the grey market. Its not really absurd, its well made and it cost a premium to make. No surprise its doable cheaper in China for a similar quality but i hate it. At the highest point, the new fads of offering their premium watches with Swiss or any higher caliber movements is both welcome and refreshing again but it shows the cost base reality of accessing those movements, the Chinese end point prices suddenly doesn't look as enticing. Also hate it.

  7. Mechanical watches are not that resilient to abuse and random accidents. Still true if the watch cost 7k. One drop and your heart skip a beat for a reason. I hate it.

  8. too many 3 hour date, obviously not enough 6 hour date.

  9. Prices are already bad and the thickness of most automatic chronograph would render them less popular then a thinner manual wind model, right? Still not happening and i hate that.

  10. Screw down diver chrono pushers look horrible in any configurations. Sore thumbs.
