First of 2024
My first purchase of 2024. I didn't last long considering it was delivered today. This is a King Seiko Vanac 5246-6030. This is my third watch from the Vanac line. They just look too good to pass up when I see a clean looking one.

It's hard to see in the picture but the crystal is faceted so it creates lines on the dial from the light going through it.

I know there are like 30 or 40 of them I think. This was the first time I saw this color available and didn't want to miss out.

Don’t know the details but during the 70’s Seiko experimented with some really funky designs that went well beyond the dial…we’re talking case and crystal as well. Really wild stuff that came from the golden age of watch design. Too bad it doesn’t get the press that a Paul Newman Daytona would generate when these Vance watches are probably much rarer
