Breguet Classique Chronométrie 7727

10hz high frequency escapement, the tiny hand spins every 2 seconds (10hz).

The pallet lever, escapement, balance spring and double balance wheel are all in silicon.

-1/+3 seconds a day. 60 hour power reserve.

The balance wheel is suspended and held in place by magnets (hence the silicon!) literally magnetic pivots which hold it pretty much in midair. Incredible shock resistance and essentially a new spin on the tourbillon, which they should really shout about more.

6 different types of hand turned guilloché on the dial.

The classic fluted edge bezel surrounds the white gold case in 41mm, it’s only 9.65mm thick…how?

I’ve had to pull some of this from the Hodinkee article below as I could only remember half of the patented stuff this packs in! Whatever your opinions on Hodinkee aside, give it a read, it has clips and high resolution images of this feat of art and engineering!

Somehow, in a world of of crazy prices, you can definitely see where the £44,500 retail goes, and unlike the holy trinity, you can walk out with one the same day you walk in!

Chrono24 has 14 in rose gold listed around the £20,000-£25,000 mark. I think at that price you’d struggle to find much better as an exit watch.
