My buddy got his first watch. Longines
So we went and looked at sever different brands. Tissot, Hamilton, Certina, Mido, Tudor, and finally Longines. He was looking at the spirit line for a GADA. Then the Grand Complication caught his eye. The rest is history. Thank you all for your “Sage Advice” on my prior post.

This is a great piece for dress or sport and the 7751 full calendar movement is bulletproof!
I was wondering why it had 1-31 around the dial, as well as a day date window, then I realised it’s day month window, interesting.
It is a pretty amazing watch. when I first went to Longines, it was the model I wanted as well, but white dial.

Longines in of itself is a great brand. You’re right, the movement is bulletproof.
Importantly he got what he likes. But do let him know of the servicing cost that comes with the watch in the future. So that he won't get shock. Servicing cost should also be in the considation when buying a watch.
