I know it’s the first ever iteration of the Explorer of this particular dimension and it has ruffled a few feathers but I really love the size and proportions.

Agreed. It’s good when a particular design is available in various sizes, colours, materials etc. And to each their own.
Some were anticipating a white dial Explorer 1 in Geneva. It would have been interesting.
