Beware

Folks, I hope it goes without saying, but be careful on social media - including WC.

I’ve noticed (and I’m sure you have to) profiles that follow you and then if you give them the courtesy follow back, they DM with a seemingly innocuous or flirty DM. Their profiles are usually new and if there are any photos they are stock images (versus personal watch photos).

Usually they say they are females.

I caution that the profiles and posters are likely fake and are fishers/scammers.

Do not give any personal info.

I’ve already spoken to someone on this app who believes his house was broken into by someone who acquired his info on this app.

Trust but verify.

@Max if you want to chat about this and maybe brainstorm ways to make this platform a bit more secure, I’m open.
