Dear Omega.... Please make a Bronze-Gold Speedmaster!

I need Omega to make us a Bronze-Gold Speedmaster that is at a much more attainable price that the Moonshine Gold. That is all....

This is an interesting point. The premium charged for new watches in precious metals is usually way in excess of the cost of said precious metal.

With vintage watches it's completely different. It's possible to pick up solid gold watches at very little premium to steel or plated. Especially in the currently unfashionable but historically very popular yellow gold.

I find it interesting that yellow gold is out of fashion, I think that’s more to do with it not matching well with paler complexions. I have a yellow gold-plated watch and it suits me much better than red/rose/pink golds, which would blend into my skin tone too much.

Isn’t there a Sedna gold Speedmaster? I was in a Watches of Switzerland store not long ago and swore I saw some on display. I remember thinking it was much redder than I ever expected a Moonwatch to be.

You bet there is. I want bronze-gold for the price mostly. So it could maybe be $20,000 instead of $50,000 haha

That's possible if pale caucasians are more conscious of their skin tone than in years past. For decades yellow gold was by far the most popular and most widely available gold type for both pocket and wrist watches in Europe - not many now-dead white dudes said "I won't wear this yellow gold watch because it doesn't blend with my pale skin".

My personal theory is that yellow gold has acquired an unfair "old man" stigma attached to it, which is great for people like me who love it as it keeps prices low.

That is also 100% true... the yellow gold Daydate was worn far and wide by famous people in the past, but not so common now.

On a slight tangent, I wish more watch brands (and jewellery makers in general) who make white gold pieces would keep them unplated. I think that slight yellow hue is a far more interesting and unique metal colour than yet another silver toned metal, of which there are plenty.
