back in 2019 when my interest upon wristwatch grow i usually go to my parents room digging some old stuff (hoping to find some old treasure). apparently most of his possesion are a fashion watch like piere cardin, skaagen, etc. and then i became dissapponted and decided to go back to my room to do other stuff, but then something caught my eye at the corner of the cabinet.
its a gold dress watch that says raymond weil geneve othello on the dial. apparently its his wedding watch back in the 1987 if im not mistaken. so it mean something for my family history i guess, my father and mother got one each. but one was missing (probably slip in one of his cabinet).
its a strange looking watch (never seen any of this style this day), diametre is a little bit small comparing to the modern standart only 31mm. it has really thin case too. thinner than its own bracelet. i do little digging to find some info about this model but can't find much, its not very popular brand and model i guess
whole case is stainless steel with electroplated gold (whatever the f that means lol), bracelet has engineer style bracelet with butterfly clasp. build quality is good, no sharp edges but im not really into the watch style. however the dial is beautiful, colour is like dark metalic purple with sunburst effect. however i dont find the movement specs, it is quartz but i dont know who manufacture it. could be ETA, Sellita, or Ronda maybe.
So what do you think about raymond weil? do you have a raymond weil? whats your wedding watch? thx for reading my review.
