A Lucian Piccard in a Blancpain case, interesting.
I don't know too much about Lucian Piccard. There's not too much information about them. I do know they have some absolutely fantastic movements and many of the ones from the 60s have 14k gold cases like this one. It's possible that Blancpain made the case for them. Most people wouldn't Franken a watch into a gold case. Another possiblity is the original case was damaged and the owner had a watchmaker replace it with that one.

Why would you think it’s a Franken watch?Pop the back.

Because it has a Blancpain back.
Because it has a Blancpain back.
And? Blancpain made watches for Lucien Piccard (albeit much prettier than this one). Rayville-Blancpain made movements for a lot of brands.
Pop the back. You’re going to get nothing just staring at it.
It’s not mine. They’re over in New York and I’m in Florida. They were just asking me about it.
