This is the first luxury watch I ever purchased. I used to marvel at my ex brother-in-law‘s watch collection. I swore to myself that when I got a big boy job and made a big boy salary that I would start a collection of my own. This was the first entry to that collection. I keep my collection on Chrono24 where for the fun of it I monitor the value of my luxury pieces. The second after I bought this original old-school Grand Seiko it went down in value and it hasn’t come up since. But I still love this watch, and although there are number of watches from my collection that I wouldn’t have to tough of a time selling; this one I will never sell. It’s very special and it has the spring drive movement, which is the only movement I will ever buy in a Grand Seiko. Grand Seikos are my favorite watches!
