I love finding a good budget watch that makes me feel like I got way more for my money. People at work know I’m a watch guy, and it was fun today to see what people thought of a watch that is $89.

First, none of them guessed $89. Some were at $200 at the lowest but most thought it was $300-500. Mins you, these are not people like us…well, us watch freaks, these are just my coworkers.  But that’s the right crowd to judge a watch like this as most think I’m insane for buying a $1500 Meistersinger let alone a $16,000 Ressence. But this one is right in their wheelhouse.

Most everyone was positive on the watch, the ones that were negative didn’t like what they called the ‘gold’ case, even though we are mimicking bronze here. But these people wouldn’t like a gold (bronze) watch no matter the maker or the price.
The only time people noticed a difference is when I took the Marloe out for them to compare. Only then did they notice the difference in quality and finish.  but the finish of the dial and the raised numerals along with the sapphire glass is a lot to get for under $100 especially when it’s paired with a Seiko movement.
Bottom line is generally a positive response and even a couple people writing it down to buy for themselves or others.

I just recently learned of this brand. For $89 I am considering this watch. Or maybe their new field watch that will be available starting tomorrow. Thanks for the review!
