The Mathey-Tissot Evasion Automatic. It's clearly trying to catch the wave of ostentatious 70s bling watches designed by Gerald Genta, but it's not a direct copy of any of them. Instead, it's a mashup of the Nautilus and Royal Oak. And the thing's under $500 on Jomashop. Looks like it costs house money, really only costs phone money. I can't believe I'd never heard of this thing, but I'm glad I found it before I pounced on a PRX to scratch that Gentalike itch.

Thanks Hot Watch Chick 69!
Interesting find. I rather endorse this watch than buying a clone/replica watch. Personally how things are getting heated in LA I would not wear anything that looks like a Rolex, AP, Patek unless is the real deal. at least I die on top. Great find tho sometimes we get boring we the same watches.
Looks very nice with a bit of AP an Patek! Ill check them out and see what they have!
I got mine for just about all the same spec reasons. And I mean yeah it’s the shape of a sub. But nobody is mistaking this for a Rolex. I like to ware purple especially to golf. So I got this for loud summer watch vibes.

as far as I'm concerned it's Rolex's fault for not selling a purple subby, you go SoupRbear
